Lisa Djahed, Death Doula & Natural Death Advocate

Lisa Djahed is an INELDA trained Death Doula and End of Life Coach. A professional writer and content creator for leading nonprofits, Lisa came to end of life work after a profoundly positive and life-affirming experience guiding and witnessing her own father’s death in October 2021. Since then she has dedicated her time and talent to creating meaningful end of life experiences through her hospice volunteer work, through virtual celebration of life events, through memorial videos, writing obituaries, creating programs for celebration of life events, and through her one-on-one end of life coaching. 

Lisa helps families and individuals who have recently received a life-limiting diagnosis, those recently enrolled in hospice, and those considering enrolling in hospice, or simply those who want to take control of their end-of-life planning and curate the best possible experience for themselves and those they love. Lisa has received extensive cultural sensitivity training and is BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ friendly. Growing up Episcopalian, having taught at a Baptist summer camp, being married to a Muslim, and having practiced both Quaker and Buddhist meditation, Lisa is open and able to incorporate sacred elements of all faiths into meaningful end of life passages for her diverse client base. 

An experienced speaker, Lisa is a Natural Death Advocate and Death Educator, regularly producing content, giving talks, running workshops, and small group trainings, and hopes to help establish a Treasure Coast Chapter of the Threshold Singers.

The end of life journey can be a confusing and emotionally painful time for so many – through her one-on-one coaching, Lisa transforms confusion into knowledge, emotional pain into empowerment, and ultimately, sorrow into pride.
